Grammarly attempts to force one voice...and a quite drab and uncreative one at that.
It would be different if people chose to think fir themselves and had the wherewithal to evaluate and reject the poor suggestions. But they don't anymore, as evidenced by their worship of always "showing" and phobia of all adverbs everywhere.
We have reduced writers to all or nothing cookie cutter assembly line workers.
It makes me sad.
