In my previous article, I talked about what Jesus had to say about His return. If you’d like to start from the beginning, you can find that article HERE:

Several of the inspired authors of the New Testament wrote about Jesus’ return. Matthew, Mark, Luke, Peter, Paul, John, and Jude addressed the return of Christ. And when we read their words, we learn several things about Jesus’ second coming.

Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.
~ I Corinthians 15:51–52, ESV

The twinkling of an eye

The phrase in these verses — “in the twinkling of an eye” — seems to be familiar to a lot of people, whether they grew up in church or not. It’s a powerful metaphor, so it makes sense that it would be memorable.
