I am a 54 year old adoptee. I've always felt loved, wanted, and thankful. I'm grateful for the unselfish choice my birthmom made. I've never felt loss, I've never felt incomplete. My life was and is good.

I know there are also heartbreaking stories out there. I just wish stories like mine - good stories - were validated as much as the bad stories are highlighted and pushed. But I think that our society has become more victim-obsessed.
