Judith pulled the muffins out of the oven and placed them on the counter. Marlene may have been the first to welcome them with bread, but Judith’s blueberry muffins were delicious, especially when she added the sweet crumbles on top. She had considered shrimp and grits, but these people were from Connecticut; who knew if they had even heard of grits. Muffins were a better bet. Besides, Judith had never even seen the inside of the large old house…
