Actually. No. It means that righteousness we do in and of ourselves to try to earn favor with God is futile. The idea that believing infallible truth is less important than doing good things is the antithesis of what the Bible teaches.

There is a growing segment of Christianity downplaying and dismissing doctrine and God's actual Word because it doesn't fit with certain moral, social and political narratives. We can try all we want...but truth is truth, even about sex, human life, and holiness.
